Why we do what we do - Jake's Story

Jake Thomas Morris was born on a sunny but cold Halloween morning in 1992. A much longed for child for his parents Glenn and Tracey. Jake's early years were spent in Lansdowne close in Coseley and he attended the Drive school in Tettenhall, Wolverhampton. It was at the Drive Jake decided he should have a brother he was blessed instead with a sister Francesca who was born in September 1999 and completed our family. Jake adored his sister and likewise Francesca adored her irritating big brother. He moved school to all saints in Trysull, moving to bishop Milner school in Dudley until he was 18 years old. He attended Cumbria university in Lancaster where he obtained a business degree. Jake made friends all through his life and many of these friends became like extended family, more so since Jakes has passed. Jake was diagnosed with epilepsy aged twelve which was overall well controlled, and the condition never held him back. He loved sports participating in motocross, football, rugby, and kickboxing to name a few. He also tried ziplining, scuba diving and sky diving. Jake adored Christmas and would start planning in September it was a time for families to come together cook, drink, play games and enjoy the festivities. Jake met the love of his life Kirsty just before the global pandemic. On their second date Jake knew this was the person he wanted to spend the rest of his life; he proposed on 12th March 2022. On Friday 26th March 2023 Jake our beloved son, brother, fiancé, and friend passed away unexpectedly while on a business trip to Scotland. It was just eight weeks and one day before he was due to marry Kirsty, the cause of his death was sudden adult death syndrome leaving us all lost.
Our aim is to build the Jake Morris Foundation helping others in our situation and continue to build Jake’s Legacy and keep his memory alive.
